There are many interesting sites to visit.

One of them is about teaching techniques that REALLY works with kids: The kagan structures.

Basically, Dr Spencer Kagan developped strategies to share while being active. The ''structures'' are engaging and various. All his strategies are proven by psychology AND THEY WORK !!(especially with boys and those who are usually not engaged)

AAC: Alberta Assessment Consortium.

AAC had developed bilingual tools to assess your students.
Especially strong in rubrics, those use appropriate vocabulary, easy to use rubrics, references.
The AAC conferences are a must.

The government of Alberta had also developed some useful and easy recoources to use. Here some interesting links:

One terrific organisation that developed great reources, is Science Alberta Foundation.

With the first, you can rent a ''crate'' which are filled with ''centers''; hands-on activities where students apply their knowledge at their best.
The second is an interactive website, with age-appropriate design and curriculum based activities designs.
Both are MUST use!!
